Andrew Morgan Smith is an American film composer who has scored over fifty feature film and television projects, including productions such as The Old Way, You Might Be the Killer, and Jeepers Creepers 3.
He has collaborated with composer Kevin Manthei, among others, to provide additional music for the Star Trek Online expansions Victory is Life and Age of Discovery. He also composed music for Nathan Furst (Act of Valor, Need for Speed) and Brad Breeck (We Bare Bears Movie).
Andrew Morgan Smith studied film scoring with composers David Newman (Tarzan, Ice Age, Galaxy Quest, The Sandlot), Jeff Rona (Homocide: Life on the Street, Chicago Hope, Generation Iron), and orchestrator Jack Smalley (Last of the Mohicans, The Mothman).
In 2015, he received training in conducting at the Bucharest Music Institute with composer-conductor Lucas Richman (The Manchurian Candidate, The Village, As Good As It Gets).
Andrew Morgan Smith enjoyed a classical composition education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (USA), where he studied film scoring, orchestration, music theory and music history. As a multi-instrumentalist, he plays piano, guitar and saxophone himself. As a guest lecturer he has taught at New York University, Emory University, Louisiana State University, the University of Louisiana and at various high schools.
In 2020, Andrew Morgan Smith he was selected as a finalist at the prestigious HBO Westworld Scoring Competition.
