Nathan Stornetta

The Frozen King

Nathan Stornetta is a Swiss film composer. He is known for his collaboration as music super-visor on films such as Chappie (2015), Fast & Furious 6 (2013) and The Lion King (2019).

Born in the Jura, Nathan Stornetta attended the Collège de Delémont, then the cantonal Lycée Porrentruy, where he obtained his baccalaureate diploma. He then studied at the Lausanne Conservatoire and from 2010 to 2012 at the Royal College of Music in London, where he obtained his Master’s degree in Music Composition with the distinction of “Excellence”.

He lives in London, where he collaborates with various Anglo-American film composers.

In 2018, Nathan Stornetta was a finalist in the Zurich Film Festival’s International Film Music Competition for his score to Steve Cutt’s short film “Happiness“. His compositions have also been performed in concert, for example at the Festival du Jura in Switzerland.
