Peter Hauser

Peter Hauser comes from a family of musicians and was an award winner in “Jugend Musiziert” at a young age. After studying music at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart, where he graduated with distinction in cello and top marks in piano as a minor subject, he pursued further studies with the internationally sought-after cellist Prof. Natalia Gutman. In addition to numerous chamber music projects, Hauser dedicated himself especially to modern music, joining the Gaudeamus Foundation led by Manfred Niehaus and regularly participated in major orchestras, including the Württemberg State Theater Stuttgart and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, among others. His career has included extensive tours abroad. Since 1994, he has been the deputy solo cellist of the Bern Symphony Orchestra. His great love for electronic and film music is reflected in his compositions, embodying his motto: Without good film music, (mostly) no good film. His latest work includes music for commercials in Switzerland and writing additional music for the German horror film “House of Rooms”.
