About the Hope Album
HOPE – 12 Prayers for Cello & Orchestra brings together twelve composers from around the world, each writing a prayer for cello and orchestra devoted to a timeless human virtue. Initiated by Swiss cellist Andreas Graf, the twelve pieces are sequenced like a hero’s journey – from the establishment of a world, through challenge and loss, to reflection, renewal and transcendence – forming one continuous arc toward hope.
At its centre stands the solo cello, carrying each prayer as a single voice across twelve distinct musical worlds.
Recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra under Ben Palmer at Abbey Road Studios, the album was recorded and mixed by Nick Wollage, with an immersive Dolby Atmos mix by Katia Sochaczewska.
Released by Claves Records on May 1, 2026. HOPE is a charity album in support of Save the Children, helping children affected by war.
